My first 2" barrel eyepiece. So exciting to see the wider field of view in my f/10 telescope.Image looks good even toward the outer edges of the field of view in my suburban skies. This eyepiece is pretty heavy, so I need to slide my telescope a little further up for balance, but the view is worth it. Can't wait to try it out under darker skies.

I have a NexStar 8SE since 2020. It has the Celestron 1 1/4" diagonal and a set of Celestron 1 1/4" eyepieces. I'm a member of the ASKC which is a great way to learn about astronomy. It was suggested to upgrade to a 2" diagonal and eyepiece. Explore Scientific eyepieces were recommended as high quality and start with the 62 degree 40MM. Great price and it knocked my socks off! The quality, crisp wide view, and construction of the lens is very impressive. My next purchase will the 82 degree 24MM...when ES has it back in stock.

I did not realize this was a 2” eyepiece when I ordered it but I am not disappointed. I even purchased a 2” diagonal for my C8 to use it.
