This thing is INCREDIBLE for the price. I paid $99 for the 114mm + Twilight Nano Mount. The OTA and mount feel really sturdy and well-made. The red-dot feels flimsy but performs well. I highly recommend collimating the scope when you receive it. My first views of Jupiter were very poor until I collimated the scope. With the standard 25mm Plössl and proper collimation, Jupiter’s rings were easily visible at just 20x. I highly recommend investing in GOOD eyepieces too for easier viewing. Overall, I’d highly recommend to someone looking for a high-quality budget telescope. The images in my review were taken through the basic 25mm eyepiece and a 5mm Celestron X-Cel LX eyepiece by my phone.
Telescope seems to be well made. I like the mount for its ease of use. The red dot finder scope is very cheap feeling. I had to make alot of adjustments to get it sighted in. Overall good value.
This is the second one I've purchased. I like the first one enough to get one for my son and his family. I think the grandkids will have fun with it.
Great package. Very economical, light, easy to assemble and operate. I would, however, be willing to pay a little more for a shorter focal length eyepiece or two. Low power coma is a real distraction with short focus Newtonians. That said, I liked it enough to order a second one as a gift.
Haven’t been able to try it out yet due to weather but it appears to be well made.
