The Certified Pre-Owned Explore Scientific ED80 Essential Series is a compact, high-performance air-spaced triplet refractor designed for serious stargazers and aspiring astrophotographers. With genuine HOYA FCD1 ED glass and diffraction-limited optics, this apochromatic telescope delivers brilliant, high-contrast images of everything from the rugged lunar surface to the luminous detail of deep sky objects.

Its air-spaced triplet lens system, combined with proprietary EMD enhanced coatings, minimizes chromatic aberration for true-color viewing. The ED80 is lightweight and portable—ideal for spontaneous backyard sessions or as a secondary scope for guiding during astrophotography. The rugged 2" rack-and-pinion focuser includes two extension tubes for precise focusing, while the installed hybrid finder scope base allows for easy customization (finder not included).
