With an apparent field of view of 62 degrees and near parfocal design, these eyepieces offer incredible value in a very nice eyepiece.

Another great benefit of these eyepieces is the excellent contrast and ease with which you can gaze, not directly at an object, but slightly to either side. This skill, called using averted vision, is especially helpful when observing faint objects, because using averted vision puts the image on a part of your eye that is more sensitive to light, allowing you to see fainter images.

The eyepiece is ok. I am having a difficult time getting objects on the moon and double stars in sharp focus. The seeing has been very good my last few star gazing sessions. This ES 9mm is my fourth eyepiece. I have no trouble sharp focusing with the other three eyepieces in my collection. I will continue working with it for a few more star gazing sessions to see if i can get objects into sharp focus.

Great affordable beginner eyepiece. I have the 82deg 11mm and it's much better, but for a beginner, this is perfect. 62 deg FOV is just comfortable enough not to feel constricted.
