The Explore Scientific 1.5-Inch-Tall Extension Tube adds 1.5 inches to the 2.5-inch Hex focuser. Extension tubes are used when an eyepiece, camera or other accessory reaches focus beyond the focuser's travel, by moving the accessory farther out from the telescope.

It is a simple way to gain extra outward reach without changing your focuser.
