National Geographic Refractors

National Geographic refractor telescopes use a front lens to gather light, providing sharp, high-contrast views with almost no maintenance. They are an ideal first telescope for kids and beginners, delivering detailed views of the Moon and planets and doubling as excellent spotting scopes for watching wildlife and landscapes during the day.

This collection includes compact portable refractors that are perfect for travel, 70mm refractor telescopes on adjustable alt-azimuth tripods, models with astronomy app support, and refractors that include solar filters for safely viewing the Sun. A 70mm refractor gathers enough light to show Saturn's rings, Jupiter's cloud bands and moons, and many star clusters.

When choosing a refractor telescope, larger apertures show more detail and fainter objects, while a sturdy tripod makes viewing more stable and enjoyable. National Geographic refractors are simple to set up and use, making them a great choice for families, students and anyone starting out in astronomy.
